Sweethearts! What cute little Vikings!

OH how could I have missed this piece of gem! It’s GERRY and STELLAN for THE WIN!!
It’s as realistic as it can be. Tells the classic story of Beowulf up to the point where he leaves Denmark, victorious from slaying the mother of Grendel. The audience gets to see the Viking ship with pointed ends, sailing among ice. The language bears good reference to the lifestyle of that time, too. Filmed in Iceland, this film is a beautiful revival of the Viking age.
